# Start with real cost per hour
Loaded labor is your true hourly cost — wage + payroll tax + benefits.
Most solo owners underestimate this by 30-40%. Use the Overhead tab under
Settings to get an accurate number in 60 seconds.
# Build the visit cost
Time on property + drive time + mower + fuel + insurance allocation.
A 45-minute mow with 20 minutes of round-trip drive is really a 65-minute
job. Price it that way.
# Add the profit
Aim for 20-30% net margin on recurring work. Anything less and you're just
buying yourself a job, not building a business.
# Communicate the plan
Sell the *plan*, not the visit. "Weekly Gold — $99/mo, includes 4 visits,
priority scheduling, and one free application per season." Predictable
revenue for you, predictable service for them.
