Common questions
Is the 14-day trial really free?
Yes — no charge occurs during the 14-day trial. A valid card is required to start; it is auto-charged on day 15 if you haven't cancelled. Cancel anytime from Settings.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from Settings → Billing. Before you downgrade we show you exactly which features you'll lose (and which you'll keep as grandfathered because you were already using them). Proration is handled automatically by Stripe.
What happens to features I was using if I downgrade?
We grandfather them. If you were on Professional and used Recurring Visits, then downgraded to Starter, you keep Recurring Visits — the app never yanks a capability out from under you. Only brand-new subscribers on that plan get the reduced feature set.
Does the AI Assistant cost extra?
No — AI Assistant chat, SMS drafting, quote drafting, and voice input are included in Professional and Enterprise at no extra cost. Fair-use limits apply (3,000 AI messages / month on Professional; unlimited on Enterprise).
Is SMS metered separately?
SMS uses your own Twilio account (bring-your-own-key) so you pay Twilio directly per-message. Service Pro Suite doesn't add a per-SMS markup.
Do you support payroll for real?
Yes — the Enterprise plan generates paystubs directly from your timesheets, handles multiple pay rates, and exports year-end W-2 / 1099-ready CSVs. Gusto sync is on the roadmap for teams that want to run payroll on top.
Is my data mine?
Yes. Export all your data from the Import/Export center at any time for free. Enterprise gets one-click GDPR-ready ZIP exports.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period; no refunds for partial months.
